Have you ever noticed just how hard it is to be optimistic? When the world is crashing down around you, trying to find a silver lining is the last thing on your mind. Instead, you are in damage control mode; you're just trying to keep your head above water, not figuring out a way to turn your baggage into a life raft. Instead, your mind keeps leading you down that hole of negativity until you're surrounded by an empty void with no escape in site.
The hardest time to be positive is when you are firmly in the throes of negativity. When you finally surface from the depths of your despair, you'll laugh off your previous bleak outlook on life; of course everything will get better. Of course you will find a way to fix whatever wrong you have caused.
Of course you will survive.
A negative mind is unable to find the positives in any situation; instead, it magnifies all of the negatives that are piling up around you.
It takes courage to stand up against your own mind.
It takes courage to say no to negativity.
It takes courage not to find the light at the end of the tunnel, but to see it.
The light has always been there, the light will always be there. You just have to open up your heart and your mind to see it, and walk towards it.
